Teaching English in SenegalBack to Tefl World

Senegal is a country in West Africa which lies on the Atlantic Ocean and is bordered by Mauritania, Mali, Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.  It is renowned across Africa for its mbalax music, its French colonial architecture, and its natural attractions.  Despite Senegal’s turbulent economic past, which is thankfully now improving, the country’s constitution demands that education is free for its citizens up to the age of 16.  It’s rare to see TEFL jobs advertised for this French-speaking country, if you are keen to work there, then you could try contacting one of its educational institutions to enquire about career opportunities.  Remember to have the full list of vaccinations which are needed for Senegal  – the rabies vaccination sometimes needs a course of injections which require up to a month to complete before you depart for the country.
