Romania is a country in Central Europe which borders Bulgaria, Hungary, Ukraine, Serbia, and Moldova, and has a coastline on the Black Sea. It is remarkably different today to what it was like ten years ago; and so Romania is becoming increasingly popular with tourists who are drawn by the culture, cuisine, and fantastic forest-covered mountains topped with castles, including Bran Castle in Transylvania - purported home of Count Dracula. TEFL teachers tend to be paid well above the average salary and so can enjoy a good quality of life mixing with the friendly and modest Romanians. For those teachers based in Europe there's an added advantage in that numerous budget airlines serve the country allowing for cheap tickets home.
