The Netherlands is a country in north-western Europe which borders Belgium and Germany, and has a coastline on the North Sea.  It is renowned for its canals which bisect the flat landscape dotted with windmills and fields of tulips. As soon as you arrive in the Netherlands you realize that the high standard of education has created a multi-lingual population.  As a result TEFL teaching positions are few and far between.  If you are one of the fortunate teachers to gain employment here then you are in for a treat: “friendly”, “relaxed”, and “open-minded” are adjectives often used to describe the people, and so your students.
