Teaching English in ZambiaBack to Tefl World

Zambia is a landlocked country in southern Africa which is renowned for its diverse wildlife and dramatic scenery, particularly Victoria Falls which lies on its border with Zimbabwe.  Despite its economic troubles Zambia allocates around 20% of its annual budget towards education.  It’s rare to see TEFL positions advertised for this English-speaking country,  but if you are keen to work in Zambia, then you could try contacting one of its educational institutions or one of the NGOs which are based in the country to enquire about career opportunities.  Remember to have the full list of vaccinations which are needed for Zambia  – the rabies vaccination sometimes needs a course of injections which require up to a month to complete before you depart for the country.
