Teaching English in TogoBack to Tefl World

Togo is a small country in West Africa with a coastline on the Gulf of Guinea and borders with Benin, Ghana, and Burkina Faso.  Its landscape varies from the palm-lined beaches on its narrow coast to hilltop villages to the north.  French is the official language and is used in formal education.  TEFL positions are rarely advertised, but if you are keen to work in Togo, then you could try contacting one of its educational institutions or one of the NGOs which are based in the country to enquire about career opportunities.  Remember to have the full list of vaccinations which are needed for Togo  – the rabies vaccination sometimes needs a course of injections which require up to a month to complete before you depart for the country.
