Teaching English in SudanBack to Tefl World

Sudan is a country in north-east Africa bordered by Egypt, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, Chad, Libya, and the Red Sea – its Africa’s 4th biggest nation.  Arabic and English are the official languages for Sudan which explains why so few TEFL jobs are advertised outside the country.  Occasionally there are TEFL positions advertised for voluntary organizations and tertiary institutions.  If you are looking for a TEFL position in Sudan, then you might try sending one of the tertiary institutions a prospective CV and covering letter asking about career opportunities.  Remember to have the full list of vaccinations which are needed for Sudan – the rabies vaccination sometimes needs a course of injections which require up to a month to complete before you depart for the country.
