Teaching English in RwandaBack to Tefl World

Rwanda is a small landlocked country in East Africa.  The “Land of a Thousand Hills” has had a distressing past, but is now bubbling over with a positive outlook for the future.   There are numerous charities hiring teachers for schools across the country as well as NGOs which offer a very attractive package for those teachers who have the required qualifications and experience.  Tourism is on the increase, especially as Rwanda is one of only two countries where mountain gorillas can be visited safely.   TEFL teachers have really effused about the wonderful experience they’ve had working in the vibrant capital, Kigali, and right across the whole beautiful country.  Remember to have the full list of vaccinations which are needed for Rwanda – the rabies vaccination sometimes needs a course of injections which require up to a month to complete before you depart for the country.
