Teaching English in PhilippinesBack to Tefl World

The Philippines is a South-east Asian country in the Pacific Ocean made up of over 7,000 islands.  Filipino and English are the official languages which would explain why so few TEFL jobs are advertised overseas.  However, they do appear and are usually of a very competitive local salary.  The Philippines seems to be leading the world in online English tuition so you may be able to work from home through a TEFL organisation based there. Check with your government’s foreign office to see what they recommend regarding living and working in certain areas of the Philippines - personal safety varies depending on where you might be based in the country.  You should also check which vaccinations you might need if you are going to live in the Philippines.
