Teaching English in Marshall IslandsBack to Tefl World

The Marshall Islands consist of 29 coral atolls which are spread over a vast area in the central Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the Philippines; its government declared an area of 2 million square kilometres as a shark sanctuary which gives you an idea of scale.  The country’s population of just over 53,000 speak English and Marshallese.  Unfortunately, the islands have few natural resources and so the nation relies heavily on foreign aid, particularly from the United States.  If you are keen to work there, you might as well try sending a prospective CV and covering letter to one of their schools or two tertiary institutions asking about possible job opportunities.  You should check which vaccinations you might need if you are going to live there.
