Teaching English in Ivory CoastBack to Tefl World

Ivory Coast, or Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, is a country in West Africa on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea.  The French-speaking country has borders with Guinea, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Ghana.  It has a multi-billion dollar cocoa industry which has helped it gain the strongest economy in the West African Economic and Monetary Union.  However, this hasn’t helped the citizens’ education where a large proportion of adults, particularly women, are illiterate and many children are not enrolled at a school.  If you want a TEFL position in the Ivory Coast, then you could try sending one of its two universities or schools a CV and covering letter asking about possible career opportunities.  You should check which vaccinations you might need if you are going to live in the Ivory Coast.
