Grenada is an island nation in the Caribbean which lies northeast of Venezuela. It consists of the main island, also known as Grenada or the “Island of Spice”, and six smaller islands. Tourism and its world-famous spices have helped Grenada maintain a healthy economy. Grenada has a population of 110,000 which, along with the fact that it is an English-speaking country, might help explain why so few TEFL positions are advertised outside of the country. If you are keen to work there, then you could try contacting one of its schools. Remember to check which vaccinations are needed for Grenada a couple of months before you depart for the island.
