TEFL teachers are drawn to France by the expectation of seeing wonderful sights and enjoying the lifestyle that is quintessentially French:  they are said to enjoy the best work-to-life ratio in Europe.  The salaries are usually the most challenging aspect of teaching in France, but there are occasionally opportunities to earn a good package teaching at universities and certain other educational institutions.  Teachers should consider other cities as well as the capital as many ‘TEFLers’ have left with fond memories of their time in some of the other great French cities.
