Cape Verde is an archipelago comprising 10 islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the north-west coast of Africa.  It’s famous for its Creole-Portuguese-African culture, morna music, and its beautiful coastline which is drawing more and more tourists.  It is a stable democracy which has allowed it to gain notable economic growth despite Cape Verde’s lack of natural resources.  It’s rare to see TEFL positions for Cape Verde, but the country is considered to have the 2nd best educational system in Africa (after South Africa) so it might be worth sending one of its schools or 10 universities a prospective CV and covering letter asking about career opportunities.  Remember to check which vaccinations you might need for the country a couple of months before you depart for Cape Verde.
