Bulgaria is a diverse Balkan country with seaside resorts on the Black Sea and beautiful mountainous scenery inland. Most TEFL jobs are located in the capital, Sofia, which has a friendly and buzzing atmosphere. TEFL teachers are usually paid a competitive local salary which allows a teacher a very comfortable lifestyle in most of Bulgaria which has a low cost of living. Better paid teaching jobs can be found at colleges, universities and at the British Council.
