Teaching English in BahamasBack to Tefl World

Most people conjure up images of idyllic beaches and people enjoying a sedate pace of life if you mention the Bahamas; it’s a fair reflection of this group of over 700 islands which draw millions of tourists every year.  The archipelago stretches from the north coast of Cuba towards the Florida peninsula.  It’s not surprising that these English-speaking islands, which have a permanent population of around 320,000, rarely advertise TEFL positions.  However, if you are keen to work there you might as well try sending a prospective CV and covering letter to one of their educational institutions asking about possible job opportunities.  You should check which vaccinations you might need if you are going to live there.
